Transforming Warrington Town Centre with Watch This Space

The Watch This Space initiative, a partnership between Warrington BID, Warrington Borough Council, Cheshire Police, and local business volunteers, has been instrumental in improving the appearance, atmosphere, and safety of Warrington’s town centre.

This project has already made significant strides, with new planting across the town centre enhancing its overall look. The refurbishment of the gardens on Buttermarket Street has added a refreshing update, providing a more inviting space for both visitors and residents.

This initative is also addressing key issues such as anti-social behaviour and shoplifting. By tackling these challenges directly, the initiative is helping to create a safer environment for everyone who spends time in the town centre.

Looking ahead, Watch This Space continues to evolve. The initiative is collaborating with local arts and culture communities to introduce public art installations throughout the town, especially in areas identified as hotspots for anti-social behaviour and crime. These installations aim to transform these spaces into welcoming areas that people can feel proud of.

As Watch This Space progresses, it will continue to help create a safer, more welcoming, and visually appealing environment for businesses, residents, and visitors to enjoy. Warrington BID is excited about the ongoing improvements and the future development of Warrington town centre.
