We Are Warrington is excited to announce a new initiative to support the Warrington Foodbank at our upcoming “Meet Your Neighbour” event on July 2nd at 5:30pm at Scoop in Golden Square.
This event will focus on how businesses within the Business Improvement District (BID) area can contribute to the food bank’s vital work.
Warrington Foodbank, part of the Trussell Trust network, provides emergency food and support to local people in crisis. Last year alone, they provided 184,248 meals to families in the town.
At the “Meet Your Neighbour” event, we will discuss various ways businesses can support Warrington Foodbank, including:
- Donating Food and Essentials: The food bank has an ongoing need for items such as jam, tinned fruit, long-life orange juice, UHT milk, toiletries and carrier bags.
- Volunteering: Businesses can encourage their employees to volunteer, including as drivers for food deliveries.
- Financial Support: Monetary donations are crucial for covering operational costs.
By participating in this initiative, businesses can make a tangible difference in the lives of those struggling within our community.
